Focus Capital Markets is supporting its West Coast asset manager by providing a unique opportunity for talented a Senior Software Engineer & Solutions Architect to work across verticals within the organization. This is a senior role where you are the driving force behind technologies that enable different functionality throughout the business. This includes developing low or no code applications for finance & operations stakeholders.
In this role, you will assist the business by architecting/developing end-to-end applications, building and scaling APIs and working with the business to define technical solutions for business requirements. You will work with both sides of the stack, with a C#/.Net back-end and the latest JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks including React and Angular on the front-end.
This role will also involve the ideation, implementation and deployment of AI solutions for automating operational processes. You will also support CI/CD pipelines for live trade data and market data suppliers.
This is an opportunity to work across with a top 10 buy side firm in the country, which historically promotes technologists from within.
You will work onsite 3x per week. This role is only open to those in the SF Bay Area.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience leveraging C#/.Net technologies
- Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript and/or Angular
- Expertise of the Microsoft stack include Azure services (i.e. Databricks, Data Factory, Azure DevOps)
- Exposure to AI technologies is a plus
- Experience with SQL is required.
- Experience with REST APIs
- Python experience is a plus
- Previous experience working in financial technology, ideally with a hedge fund or asset manager
- Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, mathematics or related field.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
